Exporting your data from Nookal
If you are unsure how to export your data from Nookal, please reach out directly to their support team as they would be best placed to assist you with this.
- You can request a full data export from Nookal Support. There may be a cost associated with this. Please be sure to request that your Clinical notes be provided in HTML format, so that all formatting be retained, and they can then be imported to appear as they do in your Nookal account currently.
- Nookal will then provide you with a link to download your Data, Files and Notes, as well as a password. You can share the link and password with us, and we can download them directly.
Important Notes
- Client Insurance: Nookal data does not contain Insurance Information related fields (or at least any data that we have worked with to date) . We have however found that there is some Medicare and DVA related insurance data within the client profile, and we do import this. This information can be found in Client > Billing > Insurance
- Referrals: Please note there won't be any referral data linking clients to particular referrers as Referrals are not included in Nookal data
- Clinical Notes: Nookal extracts and provides Clinical Notes in HTML format, which will be imported into each relevant client profile under Records > Files, and tagged as “notes” so they can be located easily.
However, a limitation of this extraction process is that the Clinical Notes are combined into a single HTML document per patient, which may cause some inconvenience. Nevertheless, the notes remain intact and appear as expected, providing valuable historical and reference information.
- Please note, sometimes client information will also come with Next of Kin, Doctor, and other similar information. As this comes in a non-structured way, this information will be added to the Additional Comments section of the profile.
- In addition to the learnings we have shared here, we do recommend that you read all generic important notes relevant to importing your data, as documented here as there are learnings and important information relevant to your data import that you need to be aware of.
