ICO Data Protection (UK only)

Understand the UK Data Protection fee requirements under the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018.

Under the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018 in the United Kingdom, individuals and organisations that process personal data need to pay a data protection fee to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) unless they are exempt.

Regardless of any practice management system you harness within your clinical practice, it's necessary to check if you are required to do this.

By going through the UK Information Commissioner's Office's self-assessment you will be able to decide if you – as an individual or on behalf of your business or organisation – need to pay a fee to the ICO.
