Medicare Integration Updates (Last update: 24/05/2015)

Our Medicare Integration is now available for all users! If you are interested in using this feature you will first need to register for Medicare online claiming before you can start submitting claims. We have some in depth information in our article about preparing for Medicare Online Claiming here.

We also have some information in our articles about How to Submit a Claim, and about the Medicare Claim Status Responses.

If you have any questions about how to register or about the integration, feel free to contact us at support on support@powerdiary.com.au.

20th May 2015

We'll soon be releasing the Medicare claiming for all users.  (About 1 - 2 weeks away.)  If you are too excited and simply can't wait though let us know and we'll get you onto the Beta version.

27th April 2015

The Beta testing has been going really well so far.  A couple of practices have had some issues processing claims as they had not submitted their forms to Medicare but this seems to have been resolved now. There have been a few bugs which we are working on, but nothing significant.

Don't forget -  If you are part of the Beta testing group please submit the Medicare forms for each practitioner, even if they are already registered with HICAPS , ECLIPSE etc.

7th April 2015

We now have a number of practices successfully using the Beta Version of Medicare Online Claiming.  If you'd like to be included in the Beta release please let us know and we'll send you the required information.

19th March 2015

If you registered to be a beta user of Medicare Online, you should have already received an email from us with your Location Id and the form that needs to be completed and sent into Medicare.  If not, let us know.

12th March 2015

We processed the first live patient claims yesterday.  All seems to be working well.  We'll be opening it up to other beta test users over the next couple of weeks.

5th March 2015

We received our digital certificate today from Medicare.  This needs to be loaded onto the Power Diary Servers (Sydney) and then we need to do some tests with live data.  Once this is done (we expect it will take 2 weeks) we'll be able to open it up to the people on our beta test list.

If you are on the beta test list, you should be receiving some information from us next week with Medicare Registration details.  Medicare take about 1 week to process the forms.

16th February, 2015

The Medicare Integration will be Free!

We have had a number of users ask if there will be any charge for using the Medicare Integration so we thought it worth putting a note here to clarify.  There will be no charge for using the Medicare integration at all.  The Medicare integration is just an additional feature we wanted our users to have access to.

Also sorry for the delay in moving to Beta testing.  We are waiting for Medicare to issue a type of certificate that allows the claims processing to work correctly.  Please be sure we are actively and regularly following this up with them :)

15th February, 2015

Just a quick update to let you know the Beta testing will soon commence.  We are waiting for Medicare to issue some registration codes for our first live test site which we are expecting any day now.  Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to be part of the first round of Beta testing. We'll be in contact soon.  We have enough practices now registered for the Beta stage, but if you'd like to be included feel free to email us and we'll happily add you to the list (support@powerdiary.com.au).

18th December, 2014

Good news!  We have passed all the Medicare integration testing.  We will be commencing Beta testing with some practices in the New Year before a full roll-out.  If you'd like to be part of this next phase please email us at support@powerdiary.com.au

4th December, 2014

We have been advised that our new Medicare integration has passed the first complete stage of testing by Medicare.  There are still a few stages to go but this is great news.  We'll keep you posted.  - Damien

25th November, 2014

We are pleased to advise that the Medicare Integration has been developed and is currently in the testing phase with Medicare.  Once this process is complete Medicare will sign off on the integration and enable the system to go live.  We can't give a concrete timeframe at this stage as this will largely be determined by Medicare, but we are aiming for release in 4 - 6 weeks. We'll keep you posted. - Damien
