January 2013 Features Update

We've improved the way new appointments and clients are entered into Power Diary.

We've improved the way new appointments and clients are entered into Power Diary.

Some of you told us that it was too easy to create duplicate clients when making new appointments.  We agreed.  We have released an update that now makes it clearer which task you are performing.  We have also made some other small changes to the New Appointment Panel and the Client Details page to make them easier to use.  Here are the details in a nutshell:

Appointment Type:

The appointment type options are now in a drop-down box.  This saves space and reduces the need to scroll. (View Screenshot)

Add a New Client:

Once the Add a New Client link is selected, the client's basic information can be entered.  There is also now an option to "Add Address and Home Phone" from the appointment panel. This saves time as it prevents having to go into the client profile to enter address details. (View Screenshot)

Select Appointment Flag when making a New Appointment:

You can now select an appointment flag when you are creating an appointment.  This is quicker and easier than adding it later. (View Screenshot)

Client Details Page:

You will also notice that we have now changed the Client Details page a little so that the client's first name, middle name and surname are entered into separate fields. This change was required to allow Power Diary to integrate better with other systems. (View Screenshot)

We hope you enjoy the changes.  We have an exciting list of new features and system improvements coming out in 2013 and we look forward to bringing these to you.

As always if you have any questions or suggestions we would love to hear from you (support@powerdiary.com.au).

All the best,

The Power Diary Team
