Adding and Editing Your Services

You can add an unlimited number of services to your Power Diary account.  Once added to your account you are able to select and assign one or multiple services to a client appointment.  This allows you to generate an invoice/receipt detailing the services provided to your client, along with the fees and payments made.  The services provided to a client are also stored in the client's profile.

Adding a New Service to Your Account

1. Setup >> Services >> "Add Service"

2. Complete details as follows:

  • Code:  This is a quick reference for the service and is optional. If applicable include Medicare or Private Health Insurance Item Numbers in this area.
  • Name: This is the title of the service e.g. Initial Consultation.
  • Description: This is a description of your service and will also appear on any invoices where this service was used.
  • Duration: Enter the service duration in minutes.
  • Cost Price (ex tax): This is optional.  Adding the cost price for the service will allow you to generate reports detailing the profit related to provision of this service.
  • Sell Price (inc tax): Add the price (including GST if applicable) that your clients will be charged for this service.  This will appear on the invoice for this service. HINT: The price entered here will be the default price charged for this service however you can edit the actual price charged for this service on an individual basis.
  • Tax: Use this list to select whether GST applies to this service or whether it is Tax Exempt.  This will reflect on any invoices generated.  

3. Click "Save"

4. Once you create the service you can click the 'Not Available' link under the Client Portal column to configure which providers this service is available for in the client portal. If you do not select any providers, the service will not be visible in the client portal. 


Editing a Service

  1. In the Services page
  2. Click "Edit" next to service
  3. Make required changes
  4. Click "Save"


Deactivating a Service 

  1. In the Services page
  2. Click "Deactivate" next to service to be removed

Note: Deactivating a service will not affect any past appointments that have used this service. 


Reactivating an Inactive Service

  1. Go to 
  2. Tick "Show Inactive"
  3. Click on the toggle next to the service and select "Activate"
